Dear friends,
It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 5th Edition of the Balkan Pipe Smoking Championship, to be held in Bucharest, on the 26th and 27th of April 2025. The Competition will be held in Bucharest for the second time, after the 2022 edition. The Balkan Championship is organized by the Balkan Pipe Clubs Association.
The competition tobacco will be Robert McConnell Scottish Flake.
The pipe is made by Mr. Brog.
The program of the event is as follows:
Saturday, 26th of April 2025 – Wine tasting in a traditional winery
- 08:00 – Departure from Gara de Nord (Northern Railway Station) for those who prefer this location
- 08:30 – Departure from the Silva Complex (the competition venue for the event, the adress is: Strada Petricani 9A, București, 023841)
- 10:30 – Visit to the Watch Museum in Ploiești (https://muzeuldeistorieprahova.ro/muzeul-ceasului-nicolae-simache-2/)
- 12:00 – Wine tasting Lacerta Winery, Dealu Mare, jud. Buzău (https://www.lacertawinery.ro/)
- 14:00 – Lunch in Sărata Monteoru (https://casacutei.ro/)
- Free range chicken soup with noodles
- Lamb on a spit and baked potatoes
- Pickles salad
- Dessert
- Still and sparkling water
- 17:00 – Return to Bucharest.
- 18:30 – Arrival at Silva Complex.
- 19:00 – Arrival in Gara de Nord.

- 11:00 – Registration of the participants, pipe and cigar goods and accesories exposition
- 13:00 – Start of the competition
- 16:00 – Award giving ceremony
- 17:00 – Gala dinner

For participants coming from other cities, it is possible to book rooms at the Silva Complex Hotel****, for 360 RON / €72 per night for a single room and 420 RON / €84 per night for a double room, breakfast included. Those wishing to book rooms are advised to contact the organizers.
Participants can book tickets for all the events or for separate events (such as the winetasting trip or the Gala Dinner). Tickets can be bought online or can be paid in cash (RON or EURO) at the registration desk.
